Teaser Tuesdays - Marketing 3.0

Teaser Tuesdays is a meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. And for the first time, I'm posting a teaser from a non-fiction book: Marketing 3.0 by Philip Kotler

    Ah. Interesting and quite a controversial teaser as well. There is one solid camp that perceives foreign aid as disempowering, while another camp indicates its more humanitarian aspect. I wonder what YOU think about this. :)

      Well, I think that both camps in its extreme is wrong. There are benefits to aid (e.g. South Korea), and there are disadvantages to other touted methods such as microfinance (e.g. criticism against the Grameen bank, which has done much good). I believe that aid can be useful in the field of development if its used to help lift countries out of the poverty cycle.
