The book is called London's Glory, and it's a collection of detective short stories! I'm really enjoyed them, and now that I'm done reading, I want to read the Bryant and May series!
My teaser:
"Usually when he asked a woman her name he didn't bother listening to the answer, and called them darling or sweetie. His mind rushed back to the restaurant... Nothing, a total blank."What is your teaser this week?
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Jenn of Books and a Beat. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Ooo... a London-based paranormal crime series I HAVEN'T encountered! This is a sub-genre I love, so I, too, will be tracking down Bryant and May - thank you. This is my TT offering this week... https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/05/10/teaser-tuesday-10th-may-2016/
ReplyDeleteThe Bryant and May series sounds like one I might enjoy! Thanks for sharing! My teaser this week is from an urban fantasy by Lisa Shearin: http://abookaddictsview.blogspot.com/2016/05/teaser-tuesday_10.html
ReplyDeleteSounds like he isn't very nice. I don't know this series but it sounds good. My teaser this week comes from Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones. Happy reading!
ReplyDeletePeculair Crimes Unit is what really caught my eye. I do love my mysteries.

Typical guy! LOL And I'm with Sherry. Curious about Peculiar Crimes Unit.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TT
Mystery short stories are hit and miss for me. They often forgo character development in order to fit everything else in. But I have read some really good ones. I've heard good things about this series and would like to read it. I hope you enjoyed this book!
ReplyDeleteThe teaser reminds me of my daughter. LOL She will introduce herself to a child in the park and play with them--but she never remembers their name. She ends up calling them "friend". I suppose it's much better than calling them "girl" or "boy" like she used to.
