My teaser:
"She doubted that Matthew had threatened the lawyer, and thought it more likely he had promised a fee for arranging the interview - which would have been unethical at best. She felt better imagining they would be assisting the defense counsel."
So, what is your teaser this week?
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I'm curious about the setting too. And I'm always looking for a new mystery.

I love mysteries and I wonder if the setting will add that something extra that makes a super read. Enjoy!

I haven't read one in that setting before. Wonder how differently the court system works there...
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser
I've read a mystery set in Iceland before, but not this author (the one I read was by Arnaldur Indriðason). I love mysteries! My TT this week isn't from a mystery though, but from The Elegance of the Hedgehog (L'elegance du herisson) by Muriel Barbery at http://wp.me/pZnGI-qP
ReplyDeleteI've never read any Icelandic authors before or novels set there but I'll be interested inreading your review when you're finished. My teaser is from an Internet mystery set in the UK called Follow Me by Angela Clarke: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-12n

ReplyDeleteYour teaser makes me wonder what is really going on there. I have been wanting to read this book for quite a while, but haven't managed yet (I feel like I saw that every week about some book). I haven't read too many books set in Iceland. I once had a pen pal who lived there--I wish she and I had kept in touch.
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a go - I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm enjoying it so far, but I haven't made my way past half the book :p
